Kirsten Han
At age 6, Kirsten Han was already hammering away at a keyboard, writing stories. 17 years on, she is still hammering away at a keyboard.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Media Arts (Communications), majoring in Moving Image, from the Waikato Institute of Technology in Hamilton, New Zealand, Kirsten went on to get a First Class Honours degree in Film from the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. She then returned to her home country of Singapore where she currently works as an assistant producer at a small production company, working on documentaries and feature films.
In her spare time, she writes for The Online Citizen, a Singaporean socio-political blog. She is also actively involved in the anti-death penalty campaign in Singapore, and the youth campaign We Believe In Second Chances.
Kirsten also loves travelling, meeting new people, writing their stories and taking photographs. Some of her most memorable experiences have been from trips to Bangladesh, Laos, and the Thai-Burmese border.
